More one minute figure drawings, these were drawn with a stick of charcoal on newsprint paper. Oh yeah, the figures on the page in the lower right were drawn in 30 seconds just to make it even harder on myself ;)

Speaking of figure drawing, you were the first person to recomment Andrew Loomis books to me (well, all your blog readers) and my husband bought me Figure Drawing for All Its Worth and Drawing Head and Hands because of it.

I just have to say Wow! and Thanks! I haven't applied the lessons from each chapter yet, but already it's improved my figure drawing enormously. I'm certainly not up to your level yet, but I long wondered how you drew as well as you did, and now I have an inkling of where you gleaned your skill from.

cool, it doesn't get any better than Loomis. I suggest that you pick up the other books as they are published just in case they fall out of print again. Creative Illustration is out now, all about how to make good pictures. Successful Drawing is not out yet I think,but it is all about perspective.
