Fugitoid from Heroes Con by MichaelDooney
Fugitoid from Heroes Con
I drew this one at Heroes Con but the buyer had to leave before I got to it and I don't have his contact info. Hopefully he will drop me a line and I can send it off. Drawing on gray paper REALLY helps to sell the chrome metal look.

This is the piece I did for this year's Heroes Con auction. I didn't stick around to find out what it sold for though, so if anybody was there, let me know ;)
Big Barda by MichaelDooney
Big Barda
Barda is one of my all time favorite comic girls. She had basically two looks in the original Kirby comics...her full armor and this, what I have come to refer as her "battle bikini" :)
Movie Harley cover by MichaelDooney
Movie Harley cover
I am sure that Harley will be even more popular once the movie hits theaters...but here is a commish I did for Heroes con this weekend. I definitely have to remember to ask which version of Harley folks want when they ask me to draw her these days.
Harley by MichaelDooney
I always thought that Harley's original outfit was one of those costumes that didn't need to be revised, ah well.

The sad news of Darwyn Cooke's passing will leave a huge hole in the comic world for me.

While, there are many  comic artists whose work I admire, and I am constantly impressed by lots of artists chops, Darwyn was definitely my favorite contemporary comic book creator, no question.

As soon as he arrived on the scene it was love at first sight for me.

His work embodies everything I love about the best comics...super clear storytelling, amazing drawing and a real sense of adventure and even, dare I say it, joy...which is sadly lacking in most "modern' comics.

I believe that people like Darwyn who use their lives to put some beauty back into the world definitely leave it a little better for having been here.

Let's remember to cherish them  while they're here and appreciate them  long after they've gone.

Did you start plotting your TMNT storyline "Masks" before or after it was decided that the  third TMNT movie would involve time-traveling to Feudal Japan?

I'm curious as to who had the idea first.

I am sure one had nothing to do with the other. I know that my motivation was that I was a big fan of James Clavell's Shogun at the time ;)

Hi Michael, how are you? I'm your fan, can I color your 1990's Jean Grey to post here? Thankss

Hi I get asked this a lot, but since I color my own stuff whenever I can, I prefer not to have other versions out there that I didn't color, sorry.
